Jon, growing up as the son of an insurance agency principal (Jon H Pease with Holmes Murphy and Associates), initially resisted choosing an insurance career. After a liberal arts education at the University of Iowa, he joined Campbell Taggart a division of Budwieser. Spending 6 years as a salesman in the grocery business he finally decided to give insurance a chance.  In 1992 Jon got his feet wet with a small agency in Des Moines, Iowa, then in 1994 he headed south to join Ramsey, Krug, Farrell & Lensing in Little Rock, Arkansas. Since joining R,K,F & L he has completed the CIC and AAI designation programs and is currently seeking his CPCU designation. Jon was the first agent in Arkansas to complete the prestigious Registered Professional Liability Underwriter designation program. In 2002, Jon became a principal of R,K,F & L. Jon was the leading writer of Design Professionals and Project Insurance in the State and also wrote several hundred Physicians. He is one of only a few Insurance agents who specialized in Professional Liability in the state of Arkansas.

Jon is an avid outdoorsman; fishing and wing shooting along with sporting dog breeding, training and showing consume his free time. Jon was the President of the AWPGA the AKC national parent breed club for the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon.  Jon is also very active in the Big Bother Big Sister Program, striving to have a positive influence in the life of a at-risk youth
